According to my count, it’s been nine weeks since the lockdowns began in Ontario. We have been fortunate in that we have been allowed outside for fresh air and exercise, unlike many in Europe. That said, the easing of restrictions is soooo welcome!
Provincial Parks have opened for day use, the Elora Cataract Rail Trail has opened with limited parking, many TRCA parks are now allowing hiking and cycling (albeit limited or no parking, no facilities and the gates are still closed) and DCF will be opening shortly. I have been in touch with our Erin landowners and we are working on a plan, fingers crossed!
Due to the current restrictions around gatherings, and for the foreseeable future, there will be no organized club rides.
Our bank balance is $19,540.
Our current membership is 122, with 222 lapsed members. This time last year we had 173 members.
Due to the lower number of expected members, we have been able to negotiate a lower cost for our insurance, Ann has saved us over $1200!
