Brian Millage, a director with the Oak Ridges Trail Association, is extending an invitation for teams to enter into a Relay race this summer.
The following is a bit of information about the ORTA and the upcoming event:
"We maintain the 260km trail from Glen Haffy to Warkworth, near Rice Lake, along the Moraine. Several of the teams entered in our annual adventure relay are based on cycling and/or running clubs, and I think your group would find this an interesting project for June this year. The Durham Mtn Bike Association have long been competitors and supporters as this is ORTA's one major fundraiser per year.
This is a Relay, with two options- 260km/canoe/trail run/trail cycle, or 80km/trail cycle/trail run. The former is for teams up to 15 people from Rice Lake to King City, the latter, is for teams up to 7 people from Purple Woods CA north of Oshawa.
More detailed info is found on our website Oak Ridges Trail Association under the Adventure Relay tab. This will be the 14th year with up to 32 teams per year. We hope you can join the fun as a club outing this June. Please feel free to contact me for more info, and have a good year of cycling.
